The Community Transport Organisation (CTO) Ltd and its Board seek to engage an Executive Officer.

CTO is the peak body for community transport services in NSW. We are primarily a membership-based organisation but are also contracted by State and Federal Government to provide sector support and development activities.

Reporting to the Board, the Executive Officer is responsible for the strategic and operational planning and performance of the organisation.

You will provide an effective voice for the sector; advocating to government for positive policy outcomes.

The Executive Officer is also responsible for ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and contractual obligations while overseeing the sustainability of the organisation.

As the Executive Officer of a peak body, one aspect of your role is supporting the needs of a geographically diverse membership base.  The Executive Officer must be able to build the profile of the sector through developing relationships with external stakeholders, government, and regulators.

Current funding requirements also require this position to fulfill sector capacity building and industry development initiatives, such as developing strategic partnerships, commissioning training, and leading best practice policy development.

The following knowledge, skills, and competencies are sought:

  • Extensive experience in policy and advocacy
  • Strategic planning and financial management skills including sound accounting and reporting to the Board and other regulatory bodies
  • Experience in developing policies and practices to meet regulatory, legislative and contractual compliance
  • Ability to inspire and engage staff and members by building links to strategy and purpose
  • Ability to create and communicate an inspiring vision that supports the industry and helps to influence policymakers
  • Highest level of integrity and interpersonal skills that engenders trust

Employment Status:   Permanent Part-Time 4 days per week

Remuneration:             $88,366-$95,915 full time equivalent pro rata
